Linking
of PAN Card-Aadhar Card online: You can
link your PAN with Aadhar card before the deadline which is 31st March 2021.
What will happen if a person hasn’t done Aadhar card pan card linking ?
PAN
of an individual will be invalid if the person has no Aadhar card pan card
linking till March 31. Along with this they have to pay a penalty up
to IC 1000.
Finance
Bill 2021 was passed by the government in the Lok Sabha last week where it
included a new section 234H under which it is mentioned that if a person fails to
have his/her link Aadhar card pan card linking, they must pay
late fee up to Rs 1000.
Without prejudice to the provisions of this
Act, where a person is required to intimate his Aadhar number under sub-section
(2) of section 139AA and such person fails to do so on or before such date, as
may be prescribed, he shall be liable to such fee, as may be prescribed, not
exceeding one thousand rupees, at the time of making intimation under
sub-section (2) of section 139AA after the said date, the bill mentioned.
Government
has not clearly mentioned whether it will take penalty from the people who has no Aadhar card pan card linking
by March 31st and neither it has specified the exact amount to be
paid as penalty. Though it is not specified the government has passed the bill
in the parliament which explains that government has full authority to
implement it afterwards.
Before
government has extended the date many time so that people can have their Aadhar
card pan card linking.
What are the steps for Aadhar card pan card linking online?
You
may be wondering how to link your PAN with Aadhar. Here we will discuss about
the steps involved in Aadhar card pan card linking online.
- Now click on “Link Aadhar” key which is present under
the Quick Links section on the left side of the page.
- Next page will appear where you have to enter your
Aadhar number, PAN number and Name as per the Aadhar card.
- If you have the year of birth in the Aadhar card then
click the check box and again click the check box to agree for the validation
of your Aadhar card details with UIDAI.
- Captcha code will come, enter the code as shown in image.(
For those who are visually challenged they can request for OTP instead of
captcha. For this they have to provide the registered mobile number where they
can receive the OTP code.
- Finally click on the “ Link Aadhar” key below.
