ISO 50001, also commonly known as Energy management system-
Requirements with guidance for use, is one of those international standards set
up by ISO. ISO, is abbreviated form for The International Organization for
Standardization. Various necessities have been specified so that energy
management system maybe established, implemented, maintained and improved. The
common aim of it being making organizations capable of approaching systematically
to the betterment in energy performance. Energy performances include

ISO 50001, has been modelled looking at ISO 9001, Quality
Management System and ISO 14001, Environmental Management System. The newly
released version has included clauses modular to both these ISO standards.
ISO 50001 has significant feature of requirement to improve energy
