Pregnant Elephant died due to cruelty of peoples in Kerala

We Indians follow the traditions and esteems some animals as a god. We, people, respect and admire the animals, and on the other hand, some people try to harm and kill the animals. And here is shocking news that proves the cruelty of human beings. A pregnant elephant died due to the consumption of hidden firecrackers in the pineapple given by some people at Palakkad district in Kerala. According to Legal Services, the elephant should get justice.

#How did the innocent pregnant elephant die?
The pregnant elephant was hungry and searching for food, and some of the people feed the elephant a pineapple and hide some firecrackers in it. The pregnant elephant chewed the crackers, and due to that, it exploded in her mouth. To cool herself, the pregnant elephant went to the river. After some time, a mob of people and cop were gathered there, and the Kumiki elephants were brought to heave the pregnant elephant from the river, but she was not responding, and she died with her baby in the river. According to the Postmortem, it is revealed that the elephant is died due to drowning.

#Is this the first incident that is happened in Kerala?
No, it is not the first case. Up to now, there had been 70 unnatural deaths of elephants. From these, some elephants had given an electric shock, and some of the elephants were feed poison. 
According to the Statistics, These cruel things have happened in Kerala:-
Currently, in 2020, the pregnant elephant had been died with her baby due to the feeding of crackers.
  • In 2017, beef was murdered in a public place, and it was named as a beef party.
  • In 2016, In Kerala, 130 dogs were killed.
Kerala is a state known for the high literacy rate, but people over there are doing such cruel and inhuman things that should be punished as According to the statistics, the people over there had killed many animals.

#How can the perpetrator be punished?
The culprits can be punished under the Animal Protection Laws and Wildlife Protection Act. A citizen has to protect the animals, and it is mentioned under Article 51A(G) of the Constitution. Under the Animal Protection Laws, the perpetrator will be punished with a fine of Rs. 100 or may imprisonment that may extend for three months or both. But as the elephant was wild, the perpetrator would be prosecuted under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. so under the Wildlife Protection Act, the perpetrators would have to pay Rs. 25,000 fine or may have to face seven years jail, or the person may have to meet both the situations. The perpetrators should be punished to stop these cruel things happening in the state of Kerala.

The people who feed the firecrackers to the elephant should be punished according to law. Under the Legal Services, the culprits should be punished and the elephant should get justice.
